Coming Attractions

It’s been a while since I’ve written about getting paid to blog. It’s no secret that I enjoy making money from blogging, whether it’s blogging for clients or on my own account. Yet I haven’t submitted this blog to any of the paid blogging companies I use on other blogs. There are a couple of reasons for this.
First of all, I want to experiment with a couple of new monetization methods, which I will document once I prove that they work. In order to do this, I have to forego some of my regular income streams. I don’t mind that. It’s the only way to try something new.
Second, I want to evaluate the programs I have used so far. After using them for anywhere from 6 to 18 months, I think I can make some value judgements about how they have worked for me and whether they are worth continuing with.
That’s why, over the coming weeks, I’ll be reviewing some of the popular paid to blog programs, being brutally honest about how they have worked or not worked for me.
Once I’ve done that, I’ll talk about some of the other promotional methods I use, and then some of the ones I should use, and the reasons why I don’t. I hope you’ll chime in with your favourite programs and tips for getting the best from them.

Hey you should check out the upcoming Postiecon conference in Vegas. It is a bunch of pro’s sharing their different ways of monetizing your site. Good luck with exploring some new and different options.

And just between us, Jen, Dana, Saul, this post is another example of a motivating strategy. Once you promise to do something, you have to deliver. This is an anti procrastination tool, as I’ve been meaning to do this for a while. I’ll be posting the first one as soon as I recover from my holiday.

I’ll be watching this space! I have a paid blogging job in the works but I’ve been consdering starting a second. As always, promotional tips mean more clicks and more money so I’ll be looking for those, too.
